IIT Palakkad is inviting applications for a 6-week long summer internship program 2024 designed to provide engineering students with valuable research experience.
Eligibility
- Students of science, engineering and humanities
- PG students and students of 4th and 5th year of integrated programs.
- Students of 3rd and 4th year of B.Tech programs
- Students of IIT Palakkad are not eligible to apply

Stipend
Selected students will receive a stipend of ₹8000 per month (₹12000 for the entire 6 weeks). Internship certificate will only be provided to students who complete the program successfully.
Accommodation
Students will be provided accommodation in the hostels, for which room rent and mess charges will have to be paid by the student.
How to apply
- Confirm eligibility and review the available internship positions from the link given above, selecting up to two faculty members based on their research interests from their home pages.
- Create an account on the IIT Palakkad internship portal using a valid email, where a welcome message with login details will be sent.
- Obtain, sign, and upload a letter from your institution’s head in the given format and convert CGPA to percentage using the formula Percentage of marks=(10 x CGPA)-5.
- Complete and submit the application form, with the option for minor edits before the deadline.
