Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad invites applications for their Winter Internship Program, December 2023 to be held from Dec 1-Dec 31, 2023.
The Winter Internship at IIIT Allahabad serves as a platform for students to gain exposure to emerging fields, develop valuable skills, and make meaningful contributions to ongoing research at of one of India’s premier technical institutions.
How to apply
- Contact faculty member via email for consent.
- Register online with supervisor’s consent.
- Pay registration fee when applying.
- Upload a bonafide student certificate.
- On-campus accommodation available, book in advance through email ([email protected]) by submitting accommodation charges receipt.
- Refer to Academic Department’s website for faculty details.
- Apply via the online registration form.

Fees
- Compulsory Registration Fee: INR 5000.00 + 18% of GST for students from Indian Universities/Institutes
- Accommodation charges@ INR 153.00 (INR 130+18% GST) per day
- Additional Mess charges@INR 133.00 per day

It’s probably not fair to charge students fee for an internship. Students are putting in considerable effort, so they do deserve a stipend for their efforts. While the accommodation and mess fees are fine, I think colleges should remunerate interns and not expect free work from them. It’s better they call it a course or workshop instead. However, that’s the way things work at the moment and any such internship should be taken by the students as a ‘course’ which involves fees.
