Author’s note

Working for a PSU is a dream for many. BEL is one of the companies in India that’s bagging a large number of defence related orders under the make-in-India program.

Those who are interested in core electronics can have a great learning experience here. However, it’s disheartening to see the salaries offered and the upper limit of 3 years for the trainee post without any clarity on what happens after that.

Inflation is rising and talented candidates will look elsewhere, mostly IT service companies for better salaries. If our country needs to develop, entry level salaries offered by PSUs need to increase.
