ISRO invites applications from engineers in various disciplines for the post of Scientist (SC) at various ISRO centres. The total number of openings is 323.
The details of the positions and qualifications are:
- Scientist/Engineer (Electronics) – 90 posts: BE/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication with 6.84 CGPA or 65% marks.
- Scientist/Engineer (Mechanical) – 183 posts: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical with 6.84 CGPA or 65% marks.
- Scientist/Engineer (Computer Science and Engineering) – 47 posts: BE/B.Tech in CSE with 6.84 CGPA or 65% marks.
- Scientist/Engineer (Electronics – Autonomous body – PRL) – 2 posts: BE/B.Tech in Electronics and Communication with 6.84 CGPA or 65% marks.
- Scientist/Engineer (Computer Science and Engineering)- Autonomous body – PRL) – 1 post: BE/B.Tech in CSE with 6.84 CGPA or 65% marks.
Final year students who are completing their engineering in 2022-23 and expecting their results by Aug 1, 2023 are also eligible to apply.
How to apply for the post of ISRO Scientist?

Select the post you want to apply for. Complete the online application form.
Pay the application fee of ₹250 online or offline at any SBI branch.
Submit the online application along with offline payment details.
The last date for submitting applications is June 14, 2023 and the last date for paying the application fee is June 16, 2023. (It’s best to avoid waiting till the 11th hour to avoid technical issues)
ISRO selection exam
Selected candidates will be called for a written test which will be conducted in multiple cities across India on a date which will be notified later. The call letters will be sent via email, therefore applicants are urged to double check their email ID.
The exam will consist of 2 parts. Part A will be of 80 questions and on the discipline of qualifying exam with negative marking (+1 and -1/3). Part B will be of aptitude/ability and will have 15 questions totaling 20 marks without negative marking.
Based on exam performance, candidates will be selected on 1:5 ratio for an interview.
